Me
I've been making soap for a while now, and I've sold them at craft fairs, festivals and farmer's markets. I make my soap from high quality vegetable oils, as well as botanicals and other ingredients. Each bar weighs about 3 ounces. Each batch is lovingly made, stirred by hand and properly cured for a gentle, mellow bar. |

My Soap Names
I've always loved the oldies. Although I was born in the late 1960's, I grew up listening to the music of the late fifties and the sixties. I also love many of the pop hits of the 70's.When making my soap, and especially deciding on scent combinations, I would find myself humming bits of songs. I've always known I was a frustrated lounge singer at heart. I love music and have a great memory for song lyrics. But with my gift for remembering songs and my love of pop music, I was not given a talent for singing. I found that naming my scents after my favorite songs would really stick in people's minds and make them smile. Some of my customers would even leave my booth humming.
Personal Stuff
I live with my husband and children in scenic Western Washington. My son is entering high school this year, and looking forward to college in his future. My older daughter is planning on becoming an architect, and I'm proud of her ambition. My younger daughter wants to grow up to make soap like her mom! I find this flattering, but she's four and I think she's going to change her mind. Last month she wanted to be a cat. Making and selling soap from home allows me to be at home with my family, where I belong.
